Reaching New Speed in FIU-to-FIU Information Sharing

🌐 The Egmont Group, represented by Chair Elzbieta Frankow-Jaskiewicz, participated in the GCFFC Annual Summit, highlighting the critical importance of timely, trusted international cooperation in responding to increasingly fast-moving and complex financial crime.

No FIU sees the complete picture. Criminal networks operate across jurisdictions, and each FIU may hold an important piece of the intelligence puzzle. Bringing those pieces together through secure and effective information exchange can help reveal networks, trace assets and support coordinated action.

The keynote also explored how joint analysis, innovative data-matching approaches, advanced analytics and AI can strengthen international cooperation and help transform information into meaningful operational outcomes.

As financial crime continues to evolve, our collective response must evolve with it.

A sincere thank you to the Global Coalition to Fight Financial Crime for inviting the Egmont Group to contribute to this important discussion. The Summit also provided a welcome opportunity for Chair Frankow-Jaskiewicz to reconnect with former Egmont Group Chair Xolisile Khanyile, exchange perspectives and continue the dialogue on our shared efforts to combat financial crime.

“Our goal is not simply to exchange more information. It is to exchange the right information, with the right partners, at the right time, and transform it into meaningful operational outcomes.”
