FIU Taiwan was recognized earlier this year for its case, “Disrupting a Transnational Money Laundering Network Linked to Scam Compounds, Fraud, Human Trafficking, and Illegal Gambling.”
The case demonstrates the critical role of financial intelligence and international cooperation in tackling complex, transnational financial crime.
The 2026 BECA competition brought together 21 cases submitted by 14 FIUs, with FIU Taiwan and FIU India selected as finalists.
Through BECA, the Egmont Group recognizes outstanding operational cases and provides an opportunity for FIUs to share experiences and lessons that strengthen the global FIU community.
