The Egmont Group was honoured by the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg during the welcome reception of the 30th Anniversary Plenary.
His Royal Highness, together with the General Prosecutor John Petry, met with the Chair of the Egmont Group, Elzbieta Frankow-Jaskiewicz; the Executive Secretary, Jerome Beaumont; the Head of FIU Luxembourg, Max Braun; and several members of the Egmont Committee. They engaged in meaningful discussions on the importance of international cooperation in the global fight against financial crime.
His Royal Highness was accompanied by the Minister of Justice, Elisabeth Margue, who delivered introductory remarks highlighting Luxembourg’s enduring commitment to financial integrity and multilateral collaboration.
Their presence underscored the strong support for the mission of Financial Intelligence Units and the vital role they play in safeguarding the global financial system.
We are sincerely grateful for their interest and support of the work carried out by FIUs around the world.
