We are pleased to share that Elżbieta Franków-Jaśkiewicz, Chair of the Egmont Group, had the honor of speaking at the Polish Presidency Seminar on March 27, 2025. The event featured keynote addresses from esteemed leaders, including, Andrzej Domański, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Poland, Bruna Szego, Chair of the AMLA, Nicola Muccioli, Chair of MONEYVAL, and more.
During the address, Madam Franków-Jaśkiewicz highlighted the pivotal role of the Egmont Group in enhancing the global AML/CFT framework. With 177 Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) worldwide, the Egmont Group fosters operational cooperation and intelligence exchange to combat money laundering and terrorist financing effectively.

🔹 The need for FIU operational autonomy ensures swift and secure intelligence sharing.
🔹 Innovative approaches by the Egmont Group to enhance FIU effectiveness through technology and capacity-building initiatives.
🔹 The commitment to monitoring emerging ML/TF risks and promoting advanced data analytics, AI, and machine learning to future-proof FIUs.
🔹 Collaboration with key international organizations like FATF, UNODC, INTERPOL, the World Bank, IMF, and EU bodies to align operational practices and regulatory expectations.
🔹 Stand ready for potential collaborative efforts with the AMLA to reach common goals.
🔹 Engagement with the private sector to improve the quality of Suspicious Transaction Reports and other intelligence inputs.
