COVID-19 has spread with alarming speed, infecting millions and severely impacting economic activity.
To understand how the pandemic has impacted the financial intelligence community, the ECOFEL conducted a broad review of existing financial trends and guidance published by other organizations. The ECOFEL also hosted virtual roundtables where FIUs from all regions shared their experiences dealing with the pandemic situation.
The findings of these initiatives informed the COVID-19 Best Practices Paper. The paper highlights the challenges, best practices, and the lessons that FIUs have learned to adjust to the global pandemic.
