As Executive Secretary of the Egmont Group and a member of the Egmont Committee, @Jérôme Beaumont contributed to major achievements of the organization over his ten-year tenure, including:
- Expansion of Egmont membership from 151 to 186 members and development of two Egmont strategic plans.
- Support to the Egmont Committee and Chair on corporate, governance, compliance, and business matters.
- Supervising a strong team of diverse international anti-financial crime experts and reviewing the internal administrative rules.
- Relocation of the Egmont Group Secretariat from Toronto to Ottawa.
- Supporting the development of a new IT platform, with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
- Supporting the publication of over 30 reports
- Organization of two major Egmont events per year and other EG events.
- Supporting the growth of ECOFEL and related fundraising from multiple donors.
- Ensuring prudent budget design and execution.
- Raising the profile of the Egmont Group by representing the organization at multiple governmental and multilateral fora and building strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Development of internal and external communication strategies.
As Chair of the Egmont Group, I would like to thank Jérôme Beaumont for his dedication and long-standing contribution to the Egmont Group. As he leaves his position on October 30, the Egmont Group wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.
