Egmont Group marks continued collaboration at FATF June 2026 Plenary

The Egmont Group, represented by Egmont Chair Elzbieta Frankow‑Jaskiewicz and Executive Secretary Jerome Beaumont, was pleased to participate in the FATF Plenary held in Paris from 15 to 19 June, marking the conclusion of the Mexican Presidency.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Ms. Elisa de Anda Madrazo for her leadership, engagement and strong cooperation. During her tenure as FATF President, our organizations advanced important joint work, including the finalization of the Handbook on International Cooperation on Money Laundering Detection, Investigation and Prosecution, developed in collaboration with INTERPOL and UNODC.

The Egmont Group also contributed to several FATF project teams, most recently to the report on Information Sharing, Partnerships and Data Protection, approved at the June 2026 Plenary.

We welcome the incoming FATF President, Mr. Giles Thomson (United Kingdom), and Vice President, Mr. Vivek Aggarwal (India). Of course, the chain of FATF leadership would not be complete without the presence of T. Raja Kumar, former FATF President. We look forward to continued collaboration under the UK Presidency, guided by the FATF Work Plan 2026 to 2028, which provides a solid foundation for our joint efforts.
